USO Alaska welcomes reservation requests for official military unit, command, agency, or organization events. However, due to operational priorities, we are unable to accommodate private or personal gatherings such as birthday parties, baby showers, or graduations. To ensure smooth planning, please submit requests at least 10 business days before your event. We will review and respond within 5 business days. We strongly recommend visiting the facility beforehand to confirm it meets your event’s requirements.
USO ALASKA CENTER ACCESS: Our centers are designed to provide a comfortable space for actively serving military personnel and their dependents. Eligible users include all U.S. military personnel (Active Duty, Reserve, and Guard) and their dependents with valid Department of Defense ID cards. Additionally, U.S. military retirees and their dependents, as well as Gold Star Families/Families of the Fallen and their guests, may access and use USO centers. Military dependents under 18 must always be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Although we deeply appreciate the service of other military-affiliated groups, such as veterans and 100% disabled veterans, access to USO centers is reserved for actively serving personnel and their dependents to ensure we fulfill our mission.
USO Alaska will make every effort to support reservation requests for military unit and organization events. However, requests are not guaranteed, and USO resources such as equipment, supplies, and refreshments are only provided for official USO programs. If you require these items, please plan accordingly to bring your own.
In the event of urgent operational needs, reservations may be canceled (e.g., increased military traffic or training exercises). If this occurs, we will notify you as soon as possible.
Guest policies for USO Alaska centers apply to all functions, and special requests must be approved by the Area Director and Center Operations Manager. All guests must present a valid military ID for entry and must be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with documentation. Guests are responsible for any damage or loss of USO property.
USO Alaska is honored to host military ceremonies such as swearing-ins, re-enlistments, and retirements. While we strive to accommodate all requests, approval depends on operational needs. Event organizers may request special consideration to allow non-military ID cardholders (such as immediate family members) access to USO centers for these ceremonies. These requests are evaluated case by case and, if approved, require submission of a guest list at least 72 hours in advance. All attendees must follow a specified schedule for center access.
Military children are always welcome at the USO! To maintain safety, minors under 18 must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times. Babysitting by anyone other than a parent is not allowed on USO premises. Active play is limited to designated family areas, and the rest of the center must be kept as a quiet zone. Parents/guardians must ensure their children do not engage in disruptive behavior, including shouting, roughhousing, running, or ignoring staff instructions. Families who do not monitor their children may be asked to leave.
The use of alcohol, tobacco products, vapes, illegal drugs, and weapons is strictly prohibited in USO Alaska centers. Only military law enforcement officers on official duty may carry their service weapons within the centers.
Guests are not permitted to sell, advertise, or promote products or services within USO Alaska centers.
Proper attire, including shoes, must be worn at all times. Clothing that is overly revealing, explicit, or contains offensive or inappropriate messages is not allowed.
All guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully. USO Alaska does not tolerate violence, harassment, aggressive behavior, or horseplay. Visitors are responsible for cleaning up after themselves and properly disposing of trash. Food and drinks must be kept at designated dining tables and should not be brought near computers.
Any borrowed items, such as gaming equipment, headphones, and chargers, must be returned to the USO Alaska center before leaving.
