Wells Fargo Donates $15,000 to USO Alaska
The Wells Fargo West Region Military Grants program has awarded a $15,000 grant to USO Alaska to support its new facilities and programs on JBER and the future opening of new USO Centers, at Eielson AFB and Fort Wainwright, near Fairbanks.
“Wells Fargo salutes USO Alaska for such incredible support of our service members in Alaska,” said Greg Deal, Wells Fargo Alaska region president. “We hope our funding helps our Alaska troops succeed throughout their military service and as they transition to civilian life. This grant is an investment in their future.”
Wells Fargo is investing a total of $75,000 in five nonprofits serving Alaska military families and veterans as part of the company’s commitment to help veterans with basic needs, career transition, financial education and sustainable housing. USO Alaska is one of the five selected to receive support.
“As a 501c(3), the USO relies on funding from corporate sponsorship, grants, and individual donations,” said USO Alaska Center Director Tara Mogan. This funding from Wells Fargo goes a long way to support the USO’s mission to strengthen America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to our nation.“
