Anchorage MEPS Ribbon Cutting

USO Alaska is expanding its services and support to the Anchorage Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). This is where individuals go to enlist in the military. This process can take hours, and often family members wait with the service members as they begin their journey and commitment to serve our country. The USO lounge areas provide a warm environment with video games, books, a newly refurbished pool table, electronic dart board and more to help applicants to pass the time. The USO is “always by there side,” from the day they join the military through their transition back to civilian life.

A ribbon cutting ceremony held June 1, from 11:30 until 1 p.m. kicks off the celebration of the USO’s expansion to the Anchorage MEPS.
